Mark your calendars for an extraordinary dance experience! Ko-Thi Dance Company is thrilled to welcome Ishmael Konney, an interdisciplinary artist from Ghana, for two exclusive teaching sessions on November 14 and November 21.
Ishmael Konney hails from La, a vibrant town in Accra, Ghana's capital, and began his artistic journey with an undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Education, Winneba. Recruited to the U.S. to further his studies, he earned an M.A. in International Studies from Ohio University and an MFA in Dance with an Interdisciplinary Specialization in Fine Arts from The Ohio State University. Ishmael currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Dance at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and teaches at the prestigious Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts.
